Creed Chapter 7

Drogan stood in the hold warily watching Corvin. He wasn’t sure if he trusted him. His sister obviously did. She was chattering away as if she had known Corvin her whole life. As Corvin listened, he took off his helmet and placed it on one of the benches. Drogan seemed to know him, but who was he? Drogan also took off his helmet and held it under his arm. Hearing thudding in the hallway, Drogan tensed. He remained his position though as Corvin seemed to not be worried. A few moments later, 4 other Mandalorians ran into the hold with crates on hoversleds.
“Jaiken!” one of them yelled, “Get us out of here. Now!”
“On it,” the person on the bridge responded.
There was a rumble and a thud as the ship detached from the corvette. The man who appeared to be in charge took off his helmet and turned towards Drogan. Drogan instantly knew now why Corvin had seemed familiar.
“General Kaden,” Drogan said with a salute.
“Lieutenant Conver,” Kaden replied, “Been a while.”
“That it has.”
The two shook hands and Drogan saw Corvin looking utterly confused.
“Drogan here was a recruit in the Defense corps,” Kaden said, “He trained under me.” Kaden seemed for the first time to notice Drogan’s helmet. He looked at it for a few and then back at Drogan.
“Where’d you get that design?” Kaden asked.
“I found it from an old clone’s helmet. Found it at a crashed Venator.”
“I was only 11 when the Republic arrived to liberate Mandalore. But, I’d remember that design any day. That was the design of CC-7567, Commander Rex. He saved my life when I was cornered by one of Maul’s supercommandos.”
“Well, if he did stuff like that, then it’s no wonder he got Jaig Eyes.”
“Yes. Pity the Clone Wars went the way it did.”
“Yes sir.”
“You using beskar composite?”
“Yes sir. I melted down my old armor and split it to make armor for both me and my sister. Mixed in some clone armor with it.”
“Well, with what we raided, you should be able to make new armor for the both of you.”
“You raided beskar????” Corvin exclaimed, “I thought we were headed in there for weapons.”
“Weapons, supplies, etc.” Kaden responded, “We also grabbed a box of detonators as a bonus. But yes. We got a full crate of beskar.”
“Wow,” Drogan said, “Very impressive.”
Kaden laughed, “What, you think the guy who taught you most of your skills couldn’t raid a frigate?”
“True point,” Drogan responded.
There was a jolt and the ship jumped into hyperspace. Drogan turned and looked at his helmet. He hoped that he had found a home for his little sister.

On the New Republic Corvette:

There was another jolt as Sabre’s transport docked with the CR90. He exited the transport and looked around. A squad of troopers fanned out from behind him and went down separate hallways to check the ship. A trooper who had been there before Sabre got there walked up to him.
“Commander Sabre,” the trooper said with a salute.
“At ease,” Sabre responded, “What happened?”
“A group of Mandalorians came and stole the beskar and freed the two prisoners.”
“Minor consequence. The prisoners were Mandalorians, and the beskar technically belongs to them. So why was I called here.”
The trooper stiffened, “They also took crate D-4.”
Sabre paled. “You’re sure it was D-4?”
The trooper nodded, “Commander Wren probably won’t be happy about the beskar though.”
Taking a deep breath Sabre calmed himself. “I know. But someone’s going to have to tell General Skywalker about this.”
“I’d rather not,” the trooper said.
“I don’t blame you,” Sabre said. He turned, and walked back into the transport. A whole crate of kyber. He thought. Lost. And they probably don’t even know what they took. Sabre brought up the transmitter and keyed in the code to talk with General Skywalker.

So, this is Chapter 7. It's long overdue, but oh well. I'm still working on FoR, so there probably won't be much visible activity on my page for the next several weeks.

Okay, so Luke right now is referred to as "General Skywalker." Just because he's a part of the New Republic right now.
