Lego used this airplane design for several different models. The first promotional set was no. 1973 'Emirates Airliner,' which came out two years earlier, in 1989, and had way more stickers and decals (obviously, exclusive to Emirates).

This more generic 'Aircraft' no. 1774 came out in 1991 and had just a couple decals on the tail and the front. The plane has four passenger seats and six glassed windows on each side; the roof and one of the walls open on hinges.

While the model is simple, I quite fancy it for some reason! A great example of an early "modern era" Classic Town airport design.

It's also interesting to compare it with the next generation of this same aircraft, which came out as an 'Aircraft and Ground Crew' no. 2532 in 1998, and no. 2718 'Inflight Air 2000.' Lego designers ditched real windows and replaced them with stickers over a solid wall. I suppose it is an understandable cost-reduction measure, but what a disappointment from the design and playability point of view!

The build is 99% accurate, besides the stickers set and a tail wedge piece.
