I'm gonna post my renders of this soon... On the other hand, I think the minifig helmet isn't placed properly. If you're fixing that, please fix the "level with ground and in the center of the field" bit too. Thanks!

Not too sure which render engine you use, but you shall try to look into bevel shaders. It makes everything more realistic.

@Scrubs I do use edge rounding, with a rather small radius. If you could suggest a value, it'd be great - I don't have the proper tools to measure it on an actual LEGO brick. Otherwise the engine is NVidia iRay.
