Is it made with the freestyle mode of Blender or something similar? Looks great.

Yes, it's Blender's Freestyle rendering. Needed some extra work for the decals to appear in B/W. Plus some finishing touches in PS.

The cool thing about freestyle mode: it renders at lightning speed - with the right settings (turned off). Many frames per hour...

That's what I indicated above. Shadeless materials render a lot faster, than the Lego shaders do. It's only a few seconds per frame.

Thanks. It's a combination of Freestyle plus Toon Shader. The latter has caused me quite some headaches, since it reacts weird. Have fun with finding the right settings... winking face
