The build is 99% accurate; only one part is missing, which I replaced with an assembly "[MOC] Part 4746," and I used a different wheel rim. A red spiral decal for the 3x4 dish is also absent.

"Time Cruisers," launched in 1996, was a really curious Lego theme—the only collection ever dedicated to time-traveling. The series had some rather unique "meta-builds," using bricks and elements across all different Lego themes and eras, from "Castles" and "Pirates" to various sci-fi "Space" factions.

What also stood out was an unusually detailed backstory, mechanics of time travel explained in Lego catalogs (as well as various design aspects), and all personalized characters.

The story revolves around a 'mad scientist' Dr. Cyber, who discovered time travel in 2025 and began exploring the past and present with his follower, Tim. (A nice homage to Marty McFly and Emmett "Doc" Brown from 'Back to the Future,' obviously). The time travel's key component appears to be a Spinner Wheel (with hypnotizing red spiral print), used in conjunction with a helmet from the past, present, or future to reach a desired "time zone." Fascinating concept!

This set no. 6492 'Hypno Cruiser,' also known as 'Time Cruiser Navigator,' was the third-largest in the initial 1996 line-up of models. It has a little over 150 parts and comes with two minifigures (plus the Ingo monkey).

The Cruiser's design is just as odd and quirky as the rest of Time Cruisers series—a weird crossover vehicle (sort of a hybrid between a helicopter and motor grader) with different-sized wheels, a bunch of turbines and rotors, and a double cockpit with transparent canopies. For good measure, there's a pair of dragon wings too! Hypno Cruiser carries a tiny trailer behind, which stores an assortment of time-traveling helmets.
