The Citroën DS is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive executive car manufactured and marketed by the French company Citroën from 1955 to 1975 in sedan, wagon/estate and convertible body configurations. Italian sculptor and industrial designer Flaminio Bertoni and the French aeronautical engineer André Lefèbvre styled and engineered the car. Paul Magès developed the hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension.

I'm pretty sure my grand father owned one (or more) but I think the last one was was before I was born. It is such an iconic shape. You can see it in pretty much every single french movie from the 60s!

Citroën actually decided to re-use the brand DS for a new line of modern cars, DS3, DS4... I actually quite like them.

Here - in Italy - sometimes happens to see some models like this: I think that DS's futuristic line is still relevant today!
Yes, I like the modern line, but I don't think they'll become a symbol as their predecessor

Great model. My father drove DS, GS and CX Athena. Great times.

I remember the CX though. I was sick like hell at the back!

Just a fast test with my existing scene of my HDR tutorial. I am not so happy with the shadow of the floor and the rounded edge shading. But it's a good start. And btw: this model can't be build in real because the wheels stick inside the wing parts.

Wow virtualrepublic!
I think is a good result

Unfortunately I didn't find the correct size of wheels so they compenetrate with the model... link

If we find the reference of the tyre, I can model it. It also looks like the rubber is extended to fit the round plates in the middle which will be hard to reproduce - part will be solid.
